Notes: Started with 7 gallons of water I think?
Had to add a full gallon at the end of the boil.
Hung the brew in a bag sack from the tree.
My temp dropped to 140 at one point so I hoisted the bag with the string, turned the burner on for a couple minutes to get it back to mid 150.
Based on Nick's suggestions, I opted against even additions throughout and instead went with lower quantities of bittering hops and added a 4th additions after the boil was off an the temp dropped to 170 (Whilrpool) which I let sit for 20 minutes. |
