Notes: 26 oz Carnation Malted Milk Powder (unflavored)
13 oz Carnation Malted Milk Powder (chocolate)
4oz Cocoa nibs
2 vanilla beans
Set cereal killer to .030.
Heat strike water to 166 (it should drop to 154 when grain is added)
Add strike water to bagged mash tun-stir in grains for 5 mins
Screw on lid and let sit for 1 hour.
Heat sparge water to 170
Using pulley, pull grain bag from mash tun to drain-squeeze bag w/ gloves
lower bag into sparge bucket-stir for 5 mins, then let soak for 30 mins. Repeat pulley process.
Add first and second runnings to kettle-heat to boiling. Make note of pre-boil water level.
Add hops according to schedule. When boil is complete, make note of post-boil water level. |
