An Imperial Smoked Porter with a nose like gooseberries and blueberries, stuffed with coffee, covered in chocolate and toasted on a campfire by the beach, Catherines Pony is robust and imposing with a herculean mouthfeel. Rich and smooth with roasted smoky flavours battling for prominence over the assertive bitterness. A satisfying hoppiness rounds off the palate.
The smoke aroma comes from a mix of the Carafa malt and smoked malt. If you can't get hold of fresh smoked malt make your own in a barbeque - carefully!
