Notes: This started it's life as a clone of "Grant's Imperial Stout", and called for these specific ingredients: Edme SFX Dark Unhopped LME, Alexander's Unhopped Light LME, M&F dark dry extract, and 5oz centennial hops for 60 minutes and then 1oz dry hop
Only steep grains in 1 Gallon of water, then add a second Gallon for boil (total boil volume should be about 3 gal.

For the oak, soak the chips in cheap bourbon for a week to extract tannins, then blot dry and soak again in 10 oz good bourbon. Add the bourbon to the fermentor (estimate adds about .5% alcohol for a 5gal batch... ( |
