The dry hops are essential here. Best to add them during cold conditioning (e.g., in the keg if you can) for a crips citrus flavor to balance out the buttery, dill Sorachi Ace flavor.
It arguably crosses over from American Wheat to modified APA with the late hops; but don't let categories hold you back. The best description I've gotten is, "strange and delicious."
And be patient to let the flavors balance. While not a big beer, the two hop varieties - being very different - need time to sort out their relationship. |
