| Notes: Mix grain with 4.5 gallons of 162* strike water to reach a mash temp of 150*. Hold for 60 minutes. Vorlauf until runningas are clear. Sparge the grain with enough water to collect 6.5 gallons. Boil for 60 minutes, adding hops. After the boil add 0 minute hops & whirlpool in the kettle. Let stand for 20 minutes, the chill to slightly below fermentation temp, about65*. Ferment at 67* for 7 days. Add dry hops & raise temp to 72* for 5 more days. Once terminal gravity is reached, cold crash to 35* for 48 hours, then rack to a keg. Target is 2.5 volumes. |
