Looking for a solid Pilsen style base malt? This grain has your name on it. A versatile grain that can be used for lager, pilsners, Belgian, German styles and many more. It produces a clean, crisp, light colored wort that really lets the specialty grains shine through.

Munich Malt has a malty sweet flavor characteristic and adds a red or amber color to the beer. It has enough diastatic power to convert itself, but needs help from other malts (2-row malt for example) to convert other grains.

Cooked during the malting process which crystallizes the sugars and makes for a sweeter finished beer, 2 Row Caramel 40L Malt light crystal malt is made with 2-row barley, and adds a deep golden color with mild caramel and toffee flavors.

Contributing sweet pronounced caramel flavors to your beer, 2 Row Caramel 60L is a medium crystal malt made with 2-row barley. It imbues a deep gold and reddish hue while improving body and head retention. The more you use the more depth of color and caramel flavors come out, so us this at max 15% of your overall grain bill. Substantially less for a balanced Pilsner.
