Pour the same color, though lovely off white fluffy head on the real one where as mine fizzes away to nothing almost instantly. Really need to sort the head retention issue on my beers, currently thinking syphon tubing.
Aroma on mine is quite intense smokiness, not bacon but very present, backed up by a lower sharp level of dark malts. Nose on brewdogs is much softer and maltier, possibly age but it seems sweeter and big difference in grain bill. Brewdogs seems you could almost leave out the smoked malt, its not prominent at all.
Mouthfeel on brewdogs is really velvety in the mouth, lovely full body and med-low carbonation. Mouthfeel on mine is low and carbonation is med which doesn't help. Sipping brewdogs again, they're either lying about the abv or more likely it finished very high, something like 1.020
Flavour on brewdog's is lovely and sweet and malty, no one flavor is prominent. Bitterness on mine is higher, but the smoke completely overtakes.
Overall, mine is not a bad brew, but it needs a much fuller mouthfeel, sweeter taste/finish, and way less smoke. |

Dumped the last few bottles of this, was not being drank. They foamed over when opening too... |
